Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be played in casinos across the world, or in your house on your home computer, through a net account. The game rules are very straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the highest combination of cards achievable in order to come away with money. In this respect it is very similar as a classic game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the draw button. A hand of five cards will be "given out" on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and players will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.
After the player has decided on which cards he would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Typically, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced gamblers are able to select the most money-making game each instance.
Once the initial round has finished, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which instance another hand is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
