Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be enjoyed in casinos throughout the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through an Internet account. The rules are very simple and consist of the player trying to get the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, apart from the line of contact with other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the draw button. A five card hand will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the gambler has selected which cards he or she wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be given out. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that discerning bettors are agile enough to select the most profitable machine each and every instance.
After the initial round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that has been won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the bettor a chance to increase their profits, in which instance another round is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
