Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be played in casinos all over the globe, or in your house on your PC, using a net account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the highest combination of cards achievable in order to come away with money. In this respect it is very similar as a regular game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A five card hand will be electronically ‘handed out’ on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors should now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the gambler would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the player has chosen which cards he wishes to keep, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are given out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Generally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that experienced players are agile enough to choose the most money-making machine every time.
As soon as the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Additionally, a few styles of the game allow the enthusiast an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which case another game is played. There are also differences between specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
