Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be gambled on in casinos all over the world, or in your house on your home computer, using an Internet account. The regulations are absolutely simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the best mixture of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A hand of 5 cards will be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and enthusiasts will need to now decide which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the player would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the bettor has selected which cards she wishes to keep, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be given out if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.
Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful bettors are agile enough to pick the most profitable machine every time.
After the first round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Additionally, a few versions of the game give the player an opportunity to increase their profits, in which case another hand is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
